Thomas Chemnitz studied acting at the theatre academy in Ulm. For several years he had steady contracts with city theatres in Vienna, Ulm, and Dessau, before he decided to move to Berlin as a free-lancer in 1993.
He then was seen on small stages (i.e. sophiensaele, HAU, Theater Tribüne, Schlosspark Theater) and large stages (Deutsches Theater, Staatsoper unter den Linden).
He was also seen in various Film- and TV productions.
1997 he was co-founder of the Gorillas and his love towards this special form of art has never grown less. He co-developed several successful shows and improv formats with the Gorillas.
He also works as an M.C., he teaches improv at the Gorillas Improv school, and he coaches other improv groups (i.e. »Springmaus«, Bonn) or theatres (Theater Vorpommern).
As a trainer he is also interested to bring the ideas and methods of improvisation into business context and find out, how they can be successfully adapted.
