...pianist, arranger, composer. Studied at Richard Strauß Conservatory in Munich and was also educated for piano and composition theory by Professor Aldo Schoen, Musikhochschule, Munich. Already as a teenager he startet to play at the American Forces' NCO clubs. His musical style is based on soul, funk and R&B and he also plays the rare technique called »Harlem stride piano«. He wrote many, many theatre scores for »Komödie im Bayerischen Hof«, »Kleine Komödie am Max II« and for »Kleine Freiheit«, Munich. First contact with improv theatre in 1992 (he became a Member of Fast Food Theatre, Munich), in 1997 he started to play with Theatersport Berlin. Since 1997 Rudy Redl mainly lives and works in Berlin. He wrote many movie scores and also a lot of commercials and title melodies for German tv and radio stations. He did international productions with Meat Loaf, Steve Winwood, Falco, Peter Herbolzheimer and local recordings and live sessions with Gitte Haenning, Joy Fleming, Ron Williams, Wencke Myrhe, Judy Winter. 3 awards for film scoring in USA.
